Existing Gate Upgraded with Galvanised Sheeting for Privacy and Reduced Dog Reactivity
This project was completed for a client who wanted to improve privacy and prevent their dog reacting to activity outside the property.
We are seeing more and more enquiries like this, particularly from customers with dogs where visibility through gates can lead to barking or unwanted behaviour.
The Requirement
The existing gate had an open design with screening material. While the dog was already safely contained, the visibility through the gate meant it would react to people and movement outside.
The client wanted:
- Reduced visibility through the gate
- Less external stimulation for the dog
- A stronger, more durable solution than screening
- A cleaner, more finished appearance
The Solution
We upgraded the existing gate by adding galvanised sheet steel to the frame, replacing the previous screening material with a more robust and long-lasting solution.
This type of upgrade is ideal for:
- Preventing dogs from seeing outside and reacting
- Improving privacy
- Strengthening an existing gate
- Creating a cleaner, more solid finish
All materials used are galvanised for long-term durability and resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for external use.
Painting and Finish
We also spray paint galvanised steel in a variety of colours using specialised, durable paint for long-lasting external use.
This gate was spray painted black.
The Result
The finished gate now provides a much more private entrance, while significantly reducing the dog’s exposure to outside movement, with a stronger and more durable finish than the original design.
